Overview
Enforcer is a hard clipping distortion with the tight bass, sharp attack, and scooped tone associated with a classic orange distortion pedal. Its fixed input gain means it remains clearly distorted even at low Distortion settings. Higher settings add sustain and compression while rolling off some high frequency content before the clipping stage.
Tone blends dark and bright filtered paths. Low values are warmer, the middle range has the strongest scoop, and high values add bite. Level sets the final output and can be used to match bypass or push the next device. Enforcer suits cutting rhythm parts, saturated alternative rock sounds, and focused leads that need a firm edge.
Tips
- Start with Distortion around 35%, Tone near 50%, and Level matched to bypass for the core sound.
- Raise Tone for dark pickups or cabinets. Lower it when high gain becomes fizzy or tiring.
- For a tighter high gain sound, place Enforcer before the amp and keep its Distortion below halfway.
- For a more saturated pedal sound into a clean amp, raise Distortion above 60% and adjust Level after comparing with bypass.
- If the centered Tone setting feels too scooped, move the control slightly toward either side and let the downstream amp supply the final EQ.
