Device Reference

Reference for every device that ships with Axion. The list below is generated from each device’s manifest.json.

Neural Amp Modeler: Neural amp modeler with integrated bass/mid/treble tone stack, HPF/LPF and pick-attack shaping. Native device backed directly by the NeuralAudio inference library.

Afterglow Delay: Stereo dual delay with two independent lines, saturation, and LFO modulation
Tape Delay: Stereo tape echo with tempo sync, repeat saturation, age-dependent bandwidth, wow, flutter, and stereo head spread

Bloom: Envelope-driven harmonic generator. Pick attacks bloom into bright, complex harmonics; sustained notes settle into smooth, rounded saturation. Reacts to playing dynamics instead of clipping statically.
Enforcer: Hard-clipping distortion modelled on a classic orange-box pedal. Diode-to-ground clipping with pre-emphasis filtering and a passive blend tone stack.
Pug Blast: Aggressive op-amp distortion with symmetrical clipping and variable post-distortion filter
The Regent: Amp-in-a-box distortion modelled on the Marshall Guv’nor. Op-amp soft clipping into silicon diode shunt with a passive Marshall-style 3-band tone stack.

Dynamic Compressor: 4-band dynamic compressor / dynamic EQ. Each band is a peaking filter that ducks only when the band exceeds its threshold. Useful for de-essing, pick/string-noise reduction, and surgical dynamics control.
Kompressor: Circuit-derived OTA pedal compressor with parallel blend, treble recovery, and pickup-tuned release
Limiter: Transparent stereo true-peak limiter for low-latency output protection
Multiband Compressor: 3-band multiband compressor with Linkwitz-Riley crossovers, per-band compression controls, and stereo linking
Simple Compressor: Stereo compressor with RMS/Peak detection, soft knee, and linked/unlinked stereo operation
Swell: Automatic volume swell: suppresses the pick transient and blooms each note in. Works like an inverse noise gate, giving hands-free violining without a volume pedal.

Big Buff: Circuit-derived 1976-77 V3 four-transistor fuzz with cascaded 1N914 feedback clipping and the component-matched passive tone stack
Facemelt: Circuit model of the original positive-ground PNP germanium two-transistor fuzz, including the selected AC128 pair, feedback interaction and loaded two-knob controls

Blue Chorus: Low-latency analog-inspired chorus with rounded modulation, BBD-style bandwidth, stereo width, and adjustable age
Chorus: Stereo chorus effect with LFO modulation, feedback, and multiple waveforms
Phaser: Stereo phaser effect with cascaded all-pass filters, multiple waveforms, and variable stage count
Tremolo: Amplitude modulation effect with LFO, multiple waveforms, stereo phase offset, and tempo sync
Wah: Crybaby-style resonant-bandpass wah with pedal or envelope (auto-wah) control, adjustable heel/toe range, resonance, and a toe-switch cut

Blues Rider: Circuit-derived dual-stage overdrive with the original BD-2 gain, clipping, and tone networks
Crystal Pistol: Transparent low-to-medium gain overdrive with post-clipping tone shaping
Green Scream: Tube Screamer TS808/TS9 style overdrive with implicit diode solver and 4x oversampling
K Drive: Circuit-derived Klon Centaur overdrive with coupled dual-gang gain paths, germanium clipping and component-matched active treble control
Plague OD: Circuit-derived vintage RAT distortion with LM308 dynamics, 1N914 hard clipping, component-matched filter and 2N5458 output stage
SuperDrive: Asymmetric feedback clipping overdrive with mid-forward voicing and even-order harmonics
WideDrive: Circuit-derived OD-3-style dual-stage overdrive with discrete gain cells and component-matched filtering

Octaver: Four-voice monophonic octaver (-2, -1, +1, +2) with an independent level per voice. Each voice is a tape-style pitch shift: the input is replayed at the octave ratio and spliced by whole periods of the tracked note, so the result sounds like the same guitar tuned an octave away with its dynamics intact. Tracks single notes and bass lines; on chords the tracker loses lock and the voices gate off. Octave voices sit a little behind the dry signal (a few ms on high notes, more on low E). Dry/wet mix and output volume are the engine’s global device parameters.

FX Loop: Serial send/return insert: routes the signal out a physical output jack to external gear and returns it from a physical input jack (100% wet). Defaults to FX Send 1 / FX Return 1. Parallel/blended mix is disabled until return-latency calibration exists.
Looper: Records and plays back a stereo loop. Position in the chain determines what’s captured and where it’s mixed back in.
Stack: A stack allows you to group devices and chains into one reusable block. Add chains in parallel, then use Mix to blend their combined return with the original signal.
