Axion Tour: Hands-On Control

Deceptively Simple, Seriously Deep.

The best gear helps you get the perfect sound, then stays out of your way.

Axion is designed to make the most advanced profiler and multi-effects unit on the planet feel impossibly simple: Five user-programmable footswitches. One massive, high-contrast touchscreen above a row of five perfectly-weighted, glassy smooth knobs for precise control over gain, reverb, levels and more.  Each one doubles as another footswitch for even more control.

Ten programmable controls in all,  each wrapped in color to show its job at a glance, be it a stomp, a scene, or whatever you invent. All of it designed for performing musicians, right down to the spacing between the switches, sized so you can hit two on purpose and never trip one by mistake. Every detail does one thing: give you unlimited sonic power that feels effortless to play.

Dream it. Build it.

In your head is the perfect sound for this song. Building it in the real world means buying the pedals, the amps, the cabinets, finding room on the board, wiring it all up, and hauling it all to the gig.

With Axion’s powerful rig editor, it means simply dragging what you want onto the screen and playing. A browsable library containing hundreds of amps, drives, cabinets, and other effects are right there to pull into your chain, in any order you like, even in parallel. Put the fuzz in front of the amp. Now drag it after the amp. Now take it out and replace it with a Klon-style overdrive. All of that in three seconds, and it cost nothing.

Need two or even three amps at once? Split the signal and run them all. Build a delicate clean for the verse, driven leads, and a wall of sound for the chorus. Cross between them with a single footstep, or smoothly blend between them with a sweep of the expression pedal.

No soldering, no shopping, no expensive gear to buy, break, or repair. No hauling a trunk of gear you’re afraid to check on a flight. Throw Axion into a backpack and have an entire studio worth of gear at every gig.

Configure Every Control

Every switch and every knob on Axion is a blank slate. Change what each one does to match how you play, and Axion remembers it for the rig it’s on. Load a different song and the whole panel rearranges  itself to fit.

Unlike traditional pedalboards or other modelers, each switch can do the work of a whole pedalboard shuffle. Assign one footswitch to toggle dozens of effects, settings, recall an entire snapshot of the rig (aka “scene”), or trigger audio, midi, backing tracks and more.

Going from verse to chorus used to mean stomping four switches in the second before you sing and praying you hit them all. On Axion, a single press kicks in the overdrive, pushes the delay up in the mix, and loads your solo scene at once, dead in time. Switch 3 can be a solo boost tonight and a tuner tomorrow, because you set it your way, not ours.

Up top, the five knobs hold whatever you reach for most. The room you’re in needs a hair more gain. Mix is too washy and you want the reverb down. No menu diving involved, just turn the knob and keep playing.

All your settings save with the rig, so the board is never a compromise. It’s laid out for exactly what you’re playing, every single time.

No More Volume Roulette

Get a perfectly consistent volume, with exactly the amount of boost you need every time. No more balancing patches or correcting individual volumes. Axion’s auto-leveling does it for you. Tell it the sound you’re going for: Clean rhythm tone? Balanced? High-volume lead? Hit start, and Axion automatically optimizes each of the devices in your audio chain so that FOH, stage volume, and IEMs all have the perfect levels. No clipping, no weak volume, just solid tone at every stage. Switching sounds mid-set is no longer a gamble., every rig sits at exactly the right volume the moment you call it up.
