Axion speaks the same language as the studio: LV2 and VST3, the open plugin formats that thousands of effects and amp sims already use. The plugins people run in their DAWs run here too. The compressor you love, that boutique reverb, some obscure free fuzz a stranger posted online, if it’s a standard plugin, you can load it and play through it.
Axion comes with a library that’s already enormous, and it gives you the flexibility to add new features and effects. No proprietary formats, no walled garden, no waiting on us to add your favorite effect.

Anyone can make it better.
Under the hood, Axion is an open platform with a full development kit, and it’s the same kit we build with ourselves. Anyone can create for it: new effects and DSP, whole new screens, custom controls, ideas nobody has dreamed up yet. The tuner, the looper, and the metronome you just read about are all built on it, which tells you how far it reaches.
You’ve probably owned gear where the wish list never got built, where an update came late or never came at all, where the forum filled with feature requests the company quietly ignored. That doesn’t happen here. If something’s missing, anyone can build it, and it might be you. New features don’t wait on our schedule. They can come from everyone who owns one.
